Minutes of the Palomar Mountain Planning Organization Meeting
May 25, 2002
Terri Bailey, Robert Carlyle, Russ Day, Tracy Dixon, Donna Dose, Elizabeth Getzoff (alternate), Bruce Graves, Susan Humason, Pat Jones, Elliott Miller, Bonnie Phelps, Michael Pique.
The PMPO Board meeting was convened 1:22 P.M. May 25, 2002, at the home of Bruce and Lola Graves, shortly after the end of the pancake breakfast and annual meeting.
Bruce Graves was re-elected Chair, Elliot Miller re-elected Vice Chair, Tracy Dixon re-elected Treasurer, and Michael Pique re-elected Secretary.
Gretchen and Frank Spencer are set to scan the photographic plates for the Ashley book.
Bruce Graves reported the next step is to obtain permissions from the landowners to clear roads down from Crestline and Birch Hill to Conifer Road and the East Grade, for emergency exit use. Bonnie Phelps agreed to ask the Jameson family, who own most of the land adjacent to Birch Hill to the east. Pat Jones asked what the existing deeds and easements show of these roads, and what recourse is there when cables or other obstacles are put across them? Bruce Graves replied that the legal access shown in easements has often not been developed at all, that the actual road grades are elsewhere from the legal easements. Karl Bauer suggested perhaps crews from the Honor Camp could help in the actual clearing.
The next scheduled board meetings are:
July 20, 2002
October 12, 2002
January 15, 2003.
The meeting was adjourned at 1:33 P.M.
Michael E. Pique, Secretary.
